Well, we're 2 months into the new year and I think I'm finally getting over my cold I caught in New England at Christmas! It's hard to believe the season's winding down already! Everyone I talk to is making plans to go back north for the summer. Sandra and I will be staying close to home here in Florida this year. Check my calendar for where I'm playing during the summer and come see me. If I'm not working, I'll be out and about with Sandra and my new toy....a new Honda Gold Wing. We plan on exploring all of Florida, from Key West to Pensacola. Stay tuned for pictures of our travels.

I think the staff there should be commended for the great job of decorating the hall and providing such a great meal to us all, prepared and served by my good friend Kathy and her catering crew. Great job!

Our first night in Massachusetts, we went to dinner and had (you guess it) LOBSTER!! (pronounced: Lobsta in New England) This restaurant had twin, baked-stuffed, one and a half pound lobsters for $18.95!

I hope everyone's enjoying the last days of summer. It won't be too long before all you snowbirds are back, and I can't wait!! It's been so quiet here. ..I've kept busy playing at American Legions, VFWs, Moose Lodges and Elks Lodges around Tampa Bay, but the crowds are just not there this summer. I'm sure gas prices are a big problem as well as the tough drinking and driving laws. I'm really looking forward to playing at your mobile home parks and condos this season where you don't have to worry about these problems! ...just eat, drink and be merry!..then simply walk (or crawl) home! If you want to confirm a date, just click on "calendar" and look for your date to see if it's posted. If it's not, call me (727-527-8559) or e-mail me and I'll make sure it gets put on.

Well, we fly back to Tampa tomorrow after 3 wonderful weeks in New England. I left here 30 years ago and have been all over the world, but I've never seen anything as beautiful as this place! My home now is in Florida, but my heart will always be here in New England!

Hi Everyone!
We're in Massachusetts, and the weather is beautiful!...mid 70's and low humidity! Monday we're headed to the White Mountains of New Hampshire on a Harley-Davidson I've rented for a few days. I'll post some pictures here, so keep checking back.
Hope everyone is enjoying there summer. We're coming back to Florida on July the 8th, and I'll be back at the American Legion on July 12th. See you there!

About my Calendar...
I've updated my calendar for the summer, through September. (I'll be putting next season's dates...October through April... on towards the end of the summer) As you can see, I'm not playing too much...just enjoying the grandkids while they're out of school. I hope you all have a great summer. Maybe you could send me some pictures of what you're doing to beat the heat and I'll post them on here for you.

Happy Memorial Day!
I hope you all have a happy, safe Memorial Day weekend. I'll be performing at the Indian Shores annual Memorial Day Picnic at the city hall pavilion there in Indian Shores. It's open to the public, so come on out. There will be plenty of food and dancing.

I thought that was really nice of Mike, and I do appreciate it! Mike and Glenn (holding the Canadian flag) come almost every Saturday and carry the flags for me during my America/Canada tribute. Summer Schedule
I'll be leaving for Boston on June 15th and will be back in Florida on July 8th so I will not be performing at the American Legion in Clearwater on June 21 and 28 and July 5. I will return to the Legion on July 12, will be there every Satuday afternoon from 12:30 to 4 pm throughout the summer. Check my calendar to see where else I'll be performing this summer.

T-Bones
Well, my stint at T-Bones seems to be over. I tried to call there Saturday but the phone had been disconnected. I drove by there around 5pm and it was closed. To those of you who came out and supported me those three Tuesdays I was there...thanks so much! It means a lot to me. It's too bad...the general consensus was: It's a nice little place, very comfortable, good acoustics and the food was ok...if they had it. (Most of the time they seemed to out of everything, including draft beer...usually the first sign of a place about to go out of business.)
So, back to the drawing board to find a public place all of you who stay here during the hot, summer months can come see me.
I'll keep you posted.

What a great party at the American Legion in Clearwater! The food was awesome! (even though it took a little longer than expected to get everyone feed.) If anyone has any good (digital) pictures of New Year's Eve they want me to put on here, just e-mail them to carlo637@aol.com

Sandra and I will be driving up to Washington, D.C. on Christmas day and will return early on New Year's Eve morning (hopefully!...if the weather cooperates!). New Year's Eve
As you can see, I'm going to be at the American Legion for New Year's Eve. Just like in the past, they've made a seating chart of the layout of the room for that night. For tickets, your best bet is to go there in person...they go on sale Nov. 1st...and pick out your seats. But HURRY! They'll go fast! Hope to see you there!

Ok...I know it's been a little confussing, but I think we've got the dates straight for Saturday afternoons at the Dunedin Elks Lodge: Oct. 20, Nov. 10, Nov. 17, Nov. 24. Due to all the Christmas parties, travel plans and everyone being busy with shopping, etc., I won't be there at all on Saturday afternoons for the whole month of December. As soon as I know the Saturdays I will be there after the first of the year, I'll let you know. Also, next Saturday I'll be there in the afternoon (from 12:30 til 3:30) and in the evening (from 6:30 til 10:30) for the Ladies Auxiliary's Octoberfest. Tonight (Friday), I'm at the American Legion in Tampa (Post 139). It's real easy to find, for you Pinellas residents: Just go over the Gandy Bridge to Tampa and turn left (north) on Dale Mabry. At the next light, turn left and, about a block in, you'll see the Legion on your left. It's a real friendly place with a good size dance floor. I play from 7 'til 10 pm. Hope to see you there!

Last night at Post 275

I played at the American Legion (Post 275) in Dunedin last night. It sure was warm in there, but according to the "regulars", every time they serve a meal, the kitchen really heats up the place. But what a meal it was! Chicken Marsala...my favorite! I wish I hadn't have been so full from a late lunch with my wife, Sandra, or I would have ordered it myself. But, according to all those who did, it was wonderful, and well worth the $5 bucks!
Had a visit from the girls from Seapoint Cruises. They were there promoting their upcoming cruise for Post 275 in October. Sue mentioned they only have a few cabins left, so if you'd like to join them, give Seapoint a call...soon! (727)321-8750. It sounds like it could be a lot of fun... there sure is some fun-loving people who hang out there! I'm looking forward to playing there again soon.( As of right now, I'm not scheduled to play there, but Carolyn promised she'd call me soon and, maybe, book me there once or twice before the start of the winter season.)

I'm off for a few days, but I'll be back to the NEW Dunedin Elks on Wedsnesday from 6-9 pm. (I'll be there every Weds. night for all of August and Sept.) See you there!

Finally, we're in the new building! I was the very first entertainer to perform there on 1 August, 2007, and I'll be there every Wednesday from 6-9 pm for the all of August and September.
Stop by and see me and our new building but , don't forget, you MUST be a member! If you're not a member...why not? I just joined myself...it makes things so much simpler, and it's only $50.00. Have you bought a drink or a meal out on the beach in one of the tourist traps lately? Why not belong to great organization where you can bring your friends for cocktails, a nice meal, and dance to the best music in town (played by the best entertainer in town!) all for a very reasonable price.
